Hurricane Katrina in August 2005 forever changed the landscape of South Mississippi. In one day the wind and storm surge destroyed homes and trees that stood for generations. In the trunks of those dead trees professional wood sculptor Marlin Miller of Fort Walton Beach, Florida saw feathers, fins and beaks. For three years he donated his time and talent and carved a trail of Katrina Sculptures that stretches for 40 miles. The perched pelicans, soaring eagles and playful dolphins along the beach have become the number one tourist attraction in the area. They restore hope when there was little after Katrina and were reminders again during the Gulf oil spill in 2010 that the marine life of South Mississippi is a treasure. Follow the trail with this book…
